Who is Leocadia?
Leocadia is one of the older woman in the Free Methodist Church in Maizal. She is the wife of our church treasurer, Tulio, and the mother of an upcoming woman pastor in our church, Adalgisa.
Always full of joy, I call her “mi sonrisa,” (my smile.) She is ready at any time to serve others, to clean the church, or to help lead in church services. She is also respected among the people around her as a genuine prayer warrior - not to mention, the woman can cook! (Haha)
How has the ministry impacted her life?
When I learned that she had developed cysts that needed to surgically be removed, I knew that she and her family didn’t have the financial resources to pay for the procedure. I didn’t publicize the need because her family is a pretty private family when it comes to that sort of need. However, I did send a message to the most recent mission team from my home church, Pursuit Church of Meridian, asking for prayer. Leocadia had prepared a meal for them and we shared together in her yard one day in June.
A handful of people with big hearts sent me enough to pay for the surgery, hospital time, and prescription meds in less than a week. Now, Leocardia is well on her way to healing and is back to her normal routine around the house, the church, and the community.
Pray for Leocadia:
1.) Ask God to complete the physical healing that He has already begun in her.
2.) Pray for continued strength as she continues to minister and serve the people in the church and community in the name of Christ.
3.) Ask the Lord to continue filling her mouth with His words as she shares her testimony and as she testifies about our Lord here in Maizal and Bejucal. To God be the glory!
