Wow, so much is crammed into each day that I have left here in America. From addressing letters and thank you cards, to soaking up each moment with my church family, to selling a car and giving away clothes, and working full time at the credit union and with my photography...all the while looking to what lies ahead and praying that God would do the work through these willing hands and this humble life in a way that is honoring and pleasing to Him and that blesses those around me.
Let me update you guys on a few significant things that have taken place since I last blogged.
November 5th & 6th were a pretty incredible couple of days. I drove to Tupleo (home of Global Outreach International) and attended a missions conference there hosted by Global. Missionaries from 5 different continents were able to be in attendance -- what a joy to meet people who have given all they have known to carry the Gospel of Jesus to unreached people groups around the world.
That Thursday evening was a special time of fellowship as missionaries, board members, and the GO staff gathered for dinner at Hope Church. One by one, each missionary stood, walked to the front of the room, and told of what God has been up to the last year. I watched eyes light up and sometimes fill with tears as each one spoke of God's faithfulness in spite of circumstances that were unfathomable. I heard of triumphant moments and I heard of heart-wrenching trials...but there was an unmistakable strand through each testimony.
God is faithful.
Some people think of missionaries as "super-christians" but truly this was the most broken and humble group of people I've ever met.
It was in the transparent stories of brokenness that God was magnified...because in our weakness, He is SO strong.

The next day, Friday, was a day long event. The public were invited to join us for workshops, the missionaries set up tables and we were able to speak with people about our vision and the heart the Lord has given us for our people groups and countries.
