Today I found myself in Parque Okayama taking pictures for a precious missionary family who are preparing to leave for Mexico City next week to join the work there. It's funny how the Lord will speak to you in the moments when you aren't even looking for Him to speak. There I was, bustling around taking pictures of the 4 boys as they fed the birds and all of a sudden the Holy Spirit began to whisper in my spirit.
"See how today I'm providing for these birds through these young boys and their bag of bread? I will do the same for you."
I had to stop for just a moment.
"Thank You, Lord."
Each of you are probably already thinking about the passage in Matthew that came up in my spirit at that moment.
Matthew 6:25-34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[a] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

The beautiful thing is - you can see all through the Scriptures that the provision that our God promises to His children is far more than just food and clothes. His provision meets the most tangible need and the deepest emotional and spiritual needs as well. We are not left lacking a single thing when we find our satisfaction in Him...and when we trust Him, we can rest in Him...even when the provision doesn't come in the timing we expect. His provision and the timing in which He gives that provision is perfect in every single way.
For me and for the work in Sabaneta - the reality is, there is still much provision that I need before I can get on a plane to move to the Dominican Republic and begin the long-term work that lies ahead. I am currently at about 50% of my monthly support and I am in need of more people/churches to step forward and help enable this ministry to take flight and take root there in Sabaneta.
Some of you may have been waiting for a time closer to when I finish language school and leave for the Dominican. That time is now! I cannot move forward after I graduate in December until I'm fully supported. So if you've been waiting, now is the time!
If you have questions or you would like to schedule a time to talk about what God is doing and what the vision is, please let me know - I would be glad to talk with you!
If you are ready to join our ministry support team, you can give one-time or regular gifts of support at the following link:

If you would like to join our prayer support team, please let me know you are willing to pray, and I will be sure to make sure you are regularly updated on all the incredible things our Lord is accomplishing as we seek to love and to share the Gospel with the precious Dominican people!
Regardless, I love and am so thankful for each of you who are on this journey with me! You are each a precious gift! Be blessed in the name of Jesus!
